Packing Suggestions

We are almost at the one month mark! Heck yeah! Anyway, as you all know the Pacific Northwest gets um rainy :) Well, good news. San Juan Island is located in the Banana Belt..."The Olympic Mountains act as a wall that protects the northeastern Olympic Peninsula and San Juan Islands from the bulk of the rain that moves into the Pacific Northwest."

To be safe, be sure and pack items that will make the rain "no thang"...
Rain jacket w/ hood or umbrella or both
Rain boots or hiking boots or regular tennis shoes w/ thick socks
A winter hat (wool, though itchy, works well with the moisture)

With these items you can still enjoy a brisk walk or a nice hike, even if it is raining.

If you are staying within the resort grounds, the check-in/lounge area has umbrellas for guests to borrow during their stay. So, maybe grab one when you arrive or just keep that in mind.
Can’t wait to see everyone!

Roche Harbor Reservations

Hi!

Just a little note about Roche Harbor reservations. They blocked a large portion of the accomodations for our wedding. So, if you try to book online you might get a message saying the weekend is full. To avoid any confusion, I suggest you find where you want to stay on the resort (ie village house, condo, hotel) online, then call to book 800.451.8910.

Also, make sure to mention the reservation is for our wedding (Eardley/Cossman) to ensure the lowest price.

Love,
Lis

San Juan Islands Brochure

This is an excellent source for San Juan Island information...

It does cover all of the main islands, pages 1-8 & 13-20 cover general travel info, island history, and San Juan Island.

It might take a minute to download (as a webpage).
